PixSil Technology has started on the path of becoming the leading provider of highly integrated System-on-Chip (SOC) solutions for a broad range of digital video applications, regardless of the video transmission medium: terrestrial broadcast, broadband networks (satellite/cable/DSL), Internet (Ethernet LAN, Wireless 802.11a/b/g), or 3G Wireless networks. We are focused on developing and marketing leading edge technology, based on emerging video standards, for consumer, automotive, and real-time surveillance markets.

PixSil Technology's solutions offer the following benefits:

Low bandwidth: the compression technology provides the same picture quality as MPEG-4 and H.263 at half the bit rate.
Low delay: low processing latency suitable for real-time communications applications (videoconferencing, real-time video surveillance)

Products - Video Decoder/Encoder Semiconductor IP

PixSil is currently developing configurable and scalable decoder and encoder solutions for handheld consumer video applications. These products are being developed as soft IP (intellectual Property) cores that can be integrated into multimedia system-on-chip devices. They will support the emerging H.264 standard, also known as MPEG4 AVC (part 10). H.264's revolutionary compression performance provides substantial benefits over current MPEG based products with significant gains in image quality and system capacity as well as lower overall system costs.
